What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll support customers through field service, installation support, and startups, while also providing remote technical troubleshooting when you’re not on job sites. Key responsibilities include: Service, troubleshoot, and start up commercial and industrial HVAC/R and refrigeration systemsTravel to customer sites to support installations, startups, commissioning, and trainingDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues using gauges, meters, and testing equipmentPerform equipment startups, verify connections, energize systems, and confirm proper operationTest refrigeration lines and components for leaks and system integrityAdjust, repair, or replace compressors, condensers, valves, controls, and related componentsPerform refrigerant reclaiming, system charging, and mechanical overhauls as requiredInstall electrical wiring and refrigeration piping in accordance with codes and specificationsFabricate, assemble, and position refrigeration components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipmentProvide technical support to customers via phone and email using schematics and documentationCommunicate clearly with customers, contractors, engineering, and internal service teamsAccurately document service activities, field issues, and resolutions in company systemsSurvey job sites, identify concerns, and recommend corrective or improvement actionsTravel & Schedule40–60% travel by air and ground transportationRemote-based when not traveling — work from any U.S. stateProjects may include grocery, retail, and industrial refrigeration installationsTravel is planned and supported with per diem and incentivesWork hours vary by project, but the culture strongly supports work–life balanceWhat We’re Looking ForRequired: 3+ years of hands-on HVAC/R field service experienceCommercial or industrial refrigeration systemsEPA Universal CertificationAbility to read and interpret schematics, submittals, and technical documentationExperience with installation, startup, and commissioning of HVAC/R equipmentComfort working independently in the field and making sound technical decisionsWillingness to travel up to 50%Valid Real ID–compliant driver’s license or U.S. passportAbility to perform physical work including lifting, climbing, drilling, and tool useMinimum age of 21Preferred: Industrial refrigeration experience on large-scale systemsCO₂ and/or glycol refrigeration system experienceTechnical school or associate’s degree in HVAC/R or related fieldJourneyman, NATE, or similar certificationsExperience with PLC-based or automated refrigeration controlsWelding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly experienceCompensation, Bonuses & BenefitsCompetitive base pay with multiple bonus opportunitiesQuarterly performance bonusesTravel and flexibility incentivesDaily per diem during travelComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefitsRemote flexibility when not on job sitesRelocation assistance available on a case-by-case basisLong-term career growth in advanced industrial refrigerationWork EnvironmentThis is a field-focused role supporting refrigeration systems in active customer environments, including grocery and retail locations. Work may take place in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and equipment areas with varying conditions. Technicians use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, torches, gauges, and testing instruments. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
