Quick Look Pay: $39.15 per hour Location: Wytheville, VA Work Days: Rotating Days (Including Weekends) Start Time: 5:45pm End Time: 6:15am Maintain and repair PLC systems and advanced equipment to ensure beloved brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Aquafina reach communities reliably, efficiently, and safely. What You’ll Do Perform preventive maintenance on PLC systems and related control devices to support reliable operation Program, troubleshoot, and repair PLC systems, diagnose malfunctions and complete more complex adjustments as needed Support preventive maintenance and repairs on other advanced production/manufacturing equipment as needed Perform breakdown analysis, document findings, and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency Upgrade production lines with new/upgraded equipment and technology; partner with production, quality, and other teams to dynamically problem solve Direct activities of outside contractors working on assigned equipment/line Support line package changeovers as needed to keep production running Enforce GMP, safety, and audit standards while working near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals Oversee or perform general housekeeping in work areas and around equipment Work independently under limited supervision (self-management) to prioritize and complete assigned work Document work schedule and tasks completed using required maintenance systems and records Minimum Qualifications 18 years or older Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas Position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals Position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling (with or without accommodation) Experience with electrical systems, product manuals, schematics, PLC, and troubleshooting breakdowns Preferred Qualifications Experience with mechanical systems including but not limited to: compressors/ammonia systems, conveyers and airveyors, and hydraulics Experience with electronics, gearing, pumps, kinematics, pneumatics, and PLC Experience with packaging/high speed production Experience with preventative maintenance and mechanical drawings Experience with SERVO What to Expect On-the-Job Training: Learn the role through hands-on and classroom training High Energy Workplace: On the go for most of the day in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment that involves lifting, bending, and moving product throughout your shift Health & Lifestyle Benefits: As a full‑time team member, you’ll be supported with competitive pay, meaningful benefits, and opportunities to grow a long‑term career at PepsiCo.
