Essential Functions Pay Rate $22.00 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) Utilizing Knobs/levers on automated equipment (i.e., forward feeding, tilting and sliding), dump cages full of live chickens onto the conveyor belts. Control the flow of live chickens' beings dumped onto the kill line . Log the time a new trailer is stamped. Free any cages that get stuck and notify the line supervisor/dept. supervisor of any problems. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must have basic aptitude to observe stuck cages and trouble shoot which ones require pushing and pulling up to 200lbs to move jammed cages. Ability to make decisions on the number of cage s to dump in order to maintain an even flow of live chickens on the conveyor belt. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to stand 8-10 hours daily on concrete/metal grate floor. Must be able to submit to and pass criminal background.
