POSITION SUMMARY
Keep critical utility systems running safely and reliably to support day-to-day manufacturing operations. In this role, you’ll operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plant utility equipment—responding quickly to alarms and issues while completing preventive maintenance that helps prevent downtime. You’ll partner with maintenance, operations, and contractors, using strong problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset to protect people, product, and equipment. PAY:

SCHEDULE DETAILS
Shift: 12 hours - 5:30PM - 6:00AM Schedule: Wednesday - Friday, everyother Saturday – Boiler License
OR CIRO REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely start up, operate, adjust, and shut down utility systems, including steam/hot water boilers, ammonia/CO₂ refrigeration, compressed air, HVAC, glycol, and water treatment systems Monitor gauges, instruments, alarms, and system readings to maintain proper pressure, temperature, and fluid levels Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability and uptime Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components such as valves, pumps, compressors, controls, and motors Respond to alarms, malfunctions, and emergency calls; escalate complex issues and coordinate support when needed Maintain accurate logs and documentation for readings, inspections, maintenance, and system checks in line with company and regulatory requirements Communicate system conditions, risks, and needed actions to leadership and production teams Support system upgrades and assist with capital or extraordinary maintenance projects Work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and external contractors to ensure continuous utility availability Follow all required procedures for safety, quality, housekeeping, and standard work practices
REQUIREMENTS
3 - 5 years of experience operating, repairing, and maintaining utility systems such as boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, water treatment, steam/condensate, and associated equipment Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment High school diploma, GED, or equivalent State Boiler Operator License, Stationary Engineer License or Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) license required Ability to complete company refrigeration training requirements within 2 years of employment Ability to read and understand English for safety procedures, work instructions, and documenting maintenance activities clearly Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as needed Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): Able to lift up to 50 lbs, move throughout your shift, varying temperatures, and work safely in loud areas and confined spaces
SKILLS
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems Knowledge of boiler operations, safety procedures, and utility system operations (including basic water chemistry) Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while staying connected with the team Clear verbal and written communication skills for shift handoffs, documentation, and issue escalation Intermediate computer skills using maintenance/log systems and tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office Consistent focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement (including participation in Lean/standard work/TPM-style activities where applicable) Pay: $39.92 per hour Bonus Eligibility: Yes The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
