Industrial Maintenance Mechanic I – Rendering Location: Hatfield, PA On-Site | Industrial Manufacturing Environment Clemens Food Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic I to support our Rendering operation in Hatfield, PA. This is an early-career opportunity for someone with hands-on experience working with industrial machinery who wants to continue developing their maintenance skills. As a Mechanic I, you will support preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs while learning from experienced members of our maintenance team. What You'll Do Assist with the maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial mechanical equipment Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspections Maintain conveyor components including belts, pulleys, rollers, chains, and tensioners Make minor mechanical adjustments and replace worn components Perform basic pneumatic system checks, including filters and hoses Assist with equipment troubleshooting and escalate more complex issues Use hand and power tools, equipment manuals, and diagrams to complete assigned work Follow established maintenance, safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures What We're Looking For 1–3 years of industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or equipment maintenance experience Hands-on experience working with industrial or manufacturing machinery Experience following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Foundational mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience using hand and power tools Ability to safely follow technical instructions and maintenance procedures Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift Willingness to learn new equipment and maintenance techniques Experience with conveyors, belts, chains, bearings, pneumatics, or hydraulics is a plus, but training can be provided Know the Environment Our Rendering operation is part of a large-scale pork manufacturing facility. Rendering is an industrial process that handles animal by-products and uses specialized equipment to recover usable materials. Candidates should be comfortable: Working around animal by-products, organic material, and strong odors Working in areas that may be hot, cold, wet, humid, or dirty Working around industrial processing equipment, conveyors, piping, and moving machinery Getting dirty while completing hands-on maintenance and repairs Working at heights or in elevated areas when required Wearing required PPE and following established safety procedures Why Clemens Food Group?
