Our delivery drivers\u0026nbsp;not only make sure the customers\u0027 products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good\u0026nbsp;condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJOB FUNCTIONS\u003cbr\u003eMajor Functional Responsibilities\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003ePerform all required safety check (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eFollow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report any and all safety hazards.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eInspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Check and complete in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eEnsure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times. Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork and procedures at end of shift. Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eComplies with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements, adhering to DOT, state, and company policies.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eUpholds overall safety standards and follows guidelines for the proper handling of freight throughout the delivery process\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003ePerforms other duties as assigned\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eComplies with all policies and standards\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e
