Rich’s®—Infinite Possibilities. One Family. Purpose Statement To support the operation of the plant by performing repairs and preventative maintenance tasks in the plant and the surrounding campus. Respond to and deal with equipment breakdowns in a timely manner. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes Responsible for repair and upkeep of the buildings, equipment, and grounds. Ensure that equipment on the processing lines is running safely and properly to include, adjustments, training, troubleshooting and repair. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned. Assist with parts and plant consumable inventories to include: cycle counting, goods movements, general organization and documented parts and consumable requests. Daily communication with the Maintenance Team Lead, other maintenance personnel and plant leadership to ensure timely flow of information regarding maintenance needs. Perform work in accordance with our Lock Out Tag Out, Food Safety, Sanitation and QA procedures and standards. Manage work orders and goods movements in the SAP system in accordance with plant standards. Maintain any assigned logs, checklists and other paperwork in a neat and organized manner. Weekend checks as assigned to confirm major plant systems are operational. Aid with refrigeration/freezer operation and repair. Daily grounds keeping, lawn, snow removal and general clean up as directed. Boiler maintenance and upkeep. Painting plant and office areas. Maintain maintenance areas in a clean and organized manner. Be flexible to assist in other areas of the company when requested. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Good verbal written communication skills. Ability to prioritize projects and daily assignments, follow and report results of PM schedules and repair schedules as assigned. Experience working in manufacturing or food processing environments is a plus. Familiarity with Fish processing equipment is preferred, however machine specific training will be provided. Ability to work in a team setting or independently to support the department and the plant. Must be self-directed and be able to work without supervision. Possesses or willing to obtain a boiler operator’s license Flexible to attend training recommended by plant management, could include basic electrical, refrigeration systems, specialized equipment such as the packaging machines and processing. Must have the ability to use primary math skills. Must have the ability to work flexible hours. Must be able to be on weekend rotation for call and plant emergencies. Some weekend work scheduled for major repairs and equipment installation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit, stand, walk and climb ladders. Ability to bend and twist in order to preform necessary repairs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, unassisted. Ability to work at heights. Ability to work on concrete floors in a cool, wet and damp environment.
COMPENSATION
